Missoula County supports HB 632. The $550,000 will help Counties assess the actual effects of coal trains passing through their jurisdictions. There are many unknowns when it comes to the coal dust coming off the trains that haul coal to the west coast. The payments to the Counties will help to unravel the confusion and provide some science-based truth to replace the assertions and assumptions currently being made.

In current form, the Missoula County does not support or oppose this bill.
