Missoula County opposes HB 615 - Revise laws related to the fundamental rights under the Montana constitution - on the House floor this afternoon. HB 615 unnecessarily intrudes into the basic rights of citizens and land owners by introducing religious beliefs into the public decision making process. The bill would also require elected officials to determine the "sincerity" of religious beliefs espoused by land owners in public meetings. HB 615 creates a legal morass that can only harm landowners, the general public and elected officials. Please oppose HB 615. Respectfully, Vickie Zeier on behalf of the Missoula County Commissioners
