HB 488

LC0936
Keith Regier

Generally revise DUI laws

  1. Sending the following to Representatives Hill, McConnell and Person:

Missoula County supports HB 488 – Generally revise DUI laws, before House Judiciary tomorrow morning. Montana has implemented laws related to treatment and monitoring programs for repeat DUI offenders. Access to these programs is dependent on counting the offenses, yet counting DUIs is complicated. This bill will close several loopholes, such as counting aggravated DUIs as prior offenses, creating aggravated DUI #2 and #3, and making criminal child endangerment (DUI with child in vehicle) count as a prior offense. Please support HB 488.

    Respectfully,

Vickie Zeier on behalf of the Missoula County Commissioners
