Missoula County strongly supports Senate Bill 291 - Revise laws on use of seat belts and child safety restraints; primary enforcement, before Senate Judiciary on Tuesday morning. Primary seat belt laws result in higher rates of seat belt use than secondary seat belt laws. By wearing seat belts and properly buckling children into age-appropriate care seats and booster seats, people can reduce the risk of serious injury and death in a crash by half.
