Bryce Christiaens: HB 108 is a revision to language changed in MCA 80-7-814 last session with SB 144 regarding the 12% admin that the department of agriculture is allowed to take from the Montana Noxious Weed Trust Fund. The department is asking that the 12% be figured based on the previous year’s revenue rather than the current year expenditures. There are a number of individuals that would like to see it based on previous year’s expenditures, which allows for more funding to go to on-the-ground projects across the state.
