Missoula County supports HB 140 with existing amendments - Revise laws related to hunting and fishing licenses on the House floor. This bill is necessary to help maintain the incredible resources that are highly valued by Montana residents and visitors to the state. The bill provides for the first general increase in the cost of resident hunting and fishing licenses since 2005. This proposed modest increase will help sustain current fish and wildlife programs. Current funding, if not supplemented, will result in substantial and detrimental reductions in programs and staffing across the entire state.
