SB 66

LC0245
Diane Sands
Generally revise laws regarding e-cigarettes

  1. Ellen:
Urge support for SB 66 which amends the "Youth Access to Tobacco Act" to prohibit sales of e-cigarettes to minors because:
    1) More U.S. teens use e-cigarettes than any other tobacco products.
    2) Electronic smoking liquids (e-juice) include various fruit, candy and toy-named flavors geared towards our youth
    3) Montana is one of only ten states that still allows legal sales of electronic smoking devices to children.

  2. Sent to MC Senators:

Missoula County strongly supports SB 66 - Generally revise laws regarding alternative nicotine or vapor products, on the Senate floor this afternoon, and thanks Senator Sands for carrying the bill. More U.S. teens use e-cigarettes than other tobacco products. These electronic smoking liquids include various fruit, candy and toy-named flavors that are marketed toward our youth. Montana is only one of ten states that still allows legal sales of electronic smoking devises to children. SB 66 addresses these serious concerns. Please support SB 66.

    Respectfully,
Vickie Zeier on behalf of the Missoula County Commissioners
