Missoula County's tracking mechanism for legislation proposed at the 64th session of the Montana Legislature.
Andrew Czorny on Feb. 12, 2015: This bill requires that we hold all the Centrally assessed protested tax payments here at the County for all agencies including the State. Normally the State would get their share of the protested tax immediately. This bill still allows the State and any other agency the ability to request the second year of the protest to be distributed prior to the settlement of the protest. I think we want to stay out of the discussion, there is no benefit to us if the bill passes and the current process is working.
